Abhi Wadhwa, Senior Analyst – Building Decarbonization/ Climate Adaptation

Abhi is a senior analyst at the CPUC Energy Division, Building Decarbonization and Renewable Gas section since 2019. She first joined the CPUC in 2017 in the Energy Efficiency branch. She is the lead staff for two building electrification programs focused on market transformation: TECH and BUILD.

Prior to the CPUC, Abhi supervised the Existing Buildings unit at the CEC and before that, worked in the private sector, in various facets of energy efficiency policies and programs.

Abhi obtained her masters in architecture from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2007 where her work focused on mapping and publicizing carbon emissions from local residential energy use. Abhi is a strong advocate for disseminating energy-related data to the public as a strategy for transforming consumer markets.
