Member Committees and Working Group Calls
The Council convenes a number of member working groups, which are topic-specific virtual forums where members work together to discuss technical issues and establish positions that will guide staff on how best to respond to comments.
Monthly Member Readout
The Monthly Member Readout covers a wide variety of issues relevant and important to all Council Members, ensuring we are consistently reporting on issues that should be addressed for all Members’ benefit. It will be an informative snapshot of a variety of topics to give members a well-rounded update on policy, news, events, and more.
Energy Efficiency + Decarbonization Committee
The EE + Decarb Committee (EEDC) Provides a clear and direct avenue to deeper dialogue and detailed content and will include issue updates and discussions, as well as how to address ongoing or upcoming challenges and opportunities relevant to EE and Decarb. The EEDC is authorized to establish, in coordination with Staff, Task Forces.
DR, DERs + Resilience Committee
The DR, DERs, & Resilience Committee (DDRC), provides a clear and direct avenue to deeper dialogue and detailed content and will include issue updates and discussions, as well as how to address ongoing or upcoming challenges and opportunities relevant to DR, DERs, & Resilience. The DDRC is authorized to establish, in coordination with Staff, Task Forces.
Strategic Initiatives Committee
The Strategic Initiatives Committee (SIC), provides a clear and direct avenue to deeper dialogue and detailed content and will include issue updates and discussions, as well as how to address ongoing or upcoming challenges and opportunities relevant to new issues that arise in the overall industry. It is a forward-looking committee that is authorized to establish, in coordination with Staff, Task Forces.
State Policy (formerly Capitol) Member Working Group
The State Policy (formerly Capitol) Member Working Group covers issues that are happening in Sacramento regarding California state policy that are of interest to Council members. This call list has remained the same.
Federal Policy Member Working Group
The Federal Policy Member Working Group covers issues that are happening in Washington, DC regarding national policy that are of interest to Council members.
EM&V Call
The EM&V Call brings together EM&V, data science, and implementation professionals to explore topics that are essential for addressing California’s clean energy policies. With an extended meeting length to 1.5 hours, each call will feature a guest speaker, among other updates regarding EM&V.
CAISO Special Member Working Group
The purpose of the CAISO Member Working Group is to provide broader engagement by the Council directly to the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). It is an incremental service offering available to any current Council member in good standing. CAISO MWG subscriptions are yearly, renewing at the end of July.
