Caitlin Pollock has thirteen years of global energy sector experience, focusing on wind, solar, demand response, and EE markets. She works in the Demand Response section of the Energy Division at the California Public Utilities Commission, where she leads the Demand Response Auction Mechanism (DRAM) pilot evaluation for 2016-17 auctions, and jointly oversees DRAM policy and market integration issues. Prior to joining the CPUC, Caitlin worked in Energy Efficiency policy and strategy at PG&E–overseeing business plans and policy for multiple Energy Efficiency sectors and serving as the policy lead for the Water-Energy Nexus. Previously, Caitlin has also served as a technology/business strategy consultant to Siemens Wind Power, as a senior advisor to VC firm Equinox Energy, and as a visiting scholar at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. And after finishing grad school, she spent five years at IHS Emerging Energy Research managing the company’s Asia wind energy advisory and consulting research.
Caitlin holds a BA in International Relations and French from Hamilton College, a MA in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a Chinese language certificate from Middlebury College.
