Greg Wikler is a Managing Director in Navigant’s Energy practice, and is based in the San Francisco office. In his nearly 30 years of experience addressing energy efficiency (EE), demand response (DR), distributed generation (DG) and Smart Grid program efforts in the electric and gas industries, Greg has conducted national, regional and utility-specific market potential forecasts, technology assessments, integrated demand-side management program designs, and evaluation studies. Greg is involved in various distributed energy resource initiatives in California through various projects, providing leadership and insights on market potential forecasts, program design improvements, cost-effectiveness analysis, identification of new areas for market potentials, and new methods for evaluation. Further, he has directed various projects addressing distributed energy resources as they relate to EE, DR and DG resource acquisition, including for the California Public Utilities Commission, California’s electric utilities, Xcel Energy of Colorado, Hawaiian Electric, and the Arkansas electric utilities. Greg serves on the Boards of the California Energy Efficiency Industry Council and the Association of Energy Service Professionals. He received his BS degree in Energy Economics from UC Davis and his MS degrees in Economics and Urban Planning from the University of Oregon.
