California State Senate
Senator Henry Stern is the youngest member of the California State Senate. He chairs the Senate Elections Committee and advocates on behalf of the citizens of the 27th Senate District, which includes parts of the north Los Angeles County and east Ventura County. He now lives in Canoga Park, along the corridor between two mountain ranges, four thriving valleys, and a little stretch of coastline.
Stern has public and private sector experience in education, the environment, and infrastructure investment. Stern is an educator and environmental attorney by trade and an alumnus of Harvard University and UC Berkeley School of Law. Before his election to the Senate in 2016, he worked with businesses to construct clean energy projects, co-founded a technology incubator, taught civics, and also lectured at UCLA and UC Berkeley.
His passion for public service started with his upbringing in a family that has always focused on providing opportunities for the next generation to fulfill their potential. Throughout his life he has continued to be a voice for common sense policy that uplifts families and neighborhoods; from farmers and ranchers to mom & pop business owners and the many middle class families struggling to get ahead.
