Lillian R. Morton
Senior Project Manager
Southern California Edison
Lillian Morton is a Sr. Project Manager for Southern California Edison, one of the largest electric utilities providing electricity service to millions of Californians in a 50,000 square-mile area of central coast and Southern California.
Lillian’s primary responsibility is the measurement lead for the Preferred Resources Pilot project. The Preferred Resources Pilot (PRP) is a multiyear study designed to determine whether a portfolio of clean energy resources including renewable distributed generation, demand response, energy efficiency and energy storage can be acquired and deployed to offset increasing customer demands for electricity in central Orange County. Measuring the performance of preferred resources is intended to validate the ability to deliver expected load reduction or production through future years and shape SCE’s decisions on the use of distributed energy resources.
Lillian joined SCE in 2008 and has held a broad range of project management responsibilities. During her early tenure she supported the deployment of SCE’s SmartConnect ™ project that uses Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for collecting interval data from SCE’s smart meters. She has also led projects ranging from regulatory and compliance to continuous improvement by applying Six Sigma methodology.
Before joining SCE, Lillian worked 27 years in the banking industry in a variety of positions including operations management, human resources and regulatory and compliance.
Lillian has earned a BA degree in Business Administration and a MBA degree in Business Administration with concentration in Management and Leadership from University of La Verne, La Verne, CA.
