Mona is a successful energy policy advocate in regulatory and legislative arenas for nearly 20 years. She has 30 years of energy experience in shaping wholesale and retail market opportunities for utilities, retail suppliers and distributed energy resources. For the last 8 years, she has been shaping demand response policy in the West, Midwest and Texas with EnerNOC, Inc., a leading energy solutions company.
She is a Board Member of the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies and the Clean Power Campaign. She was a founding board member of Mission:data and has formerly served on the board of the Arizona Independent Scheduling Administrator. She is the regional chair for the Advanced Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) and is the energy co-chair of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. She was nominated twice and was awarded once the EnerNOC transformer award. She was the recipient of the inaugural Woman of the Year, Innovator Awardee by the California Women in Energy.
Prior to her employment with EnerNOC, Mona was a Regional Vice President of Government Affairs for Constellation NewEnergy and Director of Government Affairs for Enron Energy Services. She also worked for San Diego Gas & Electric and Elizabethtown Gas Company, a natural gas utility in New Jersey. Mona began her career working for a natural gas and petroleum exploration and development company (Atlas Energy Group). She has a BS Degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State.
