Neda Oreizy is an expert strategic analyst in PG&E’s Grid Integration and Innovation department, focusing on developing and advancing third party demand response (DR) policy and analysis. Neda leads the policy focused on developing a strong third party DR market, including the Demand Response Auction Mechanism (DRAM) to procure DR capacity and Electric Rule 24, which enables third party DR providers to directly bid DR into the CAISO wholesale energy markets. She is also the policy lead for PG&E on “click-through” and the Customer Data Access Committee, which streamlines the process by which customers can authorize the release of their data to a third party providing energy services. In addition, Neda administered the PG&E’s 2018-2019 Demand Response Auction Mechanism Request for Offers pilot solicitation. Prior to joining PG&E, Neda worked in financial, economic, and strategic consulting, including supporting the World Bank on rural energy access policy. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of California – San Diego, and a Master of Arts degree in International Energy Policy and Finance from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
