Council Training Course:
Energy Efficiency and Demand Response Policy in California

This half-day training from the Council is designed for mid-level professionals. It will raise your policy IQ and deliver career-building insights to demystify California’s policies on energy efficiency and demand response. We will provide an overview from the very early days of energy “conservation” starting in the 1960’s, to the beginnings of demand response during the 2000/2001 energy crisis, and finally up to today with an aim toward identifying how major events during this period have influenced the policy landscape of today. We will define and dive into pending or recently decided policies and legislation that impact your job in the energy efficiency and demand response industries.
We will provide take away resources you can use to stay up-to-date in this ever-changing industry. This is the perfect foundation to quickly accelerate your understanding and help you better navigate your career in energy efficiency and demand response.
